What are Precast Concrete Steps?

adminBy adminOctober 28, 2022No Comments3 Mins Read

Concrete steps precast can be used in homes and businesses for almost any project that requires steps. Precast concrete steps can be made by pouring liquid concrete in a mold that is reusable off-site. The concrete steps are then transported to the location and assembled or applied. This alternative method of “in-situ” (or “cast-in place”) concrete involves pouring the concrete on-site.

Precast stairs are a safe and cost-effective way to build a staircase.

Precast concrete steps is safe and fire resistant.

You can choose from single steps or straight mono bloc units that have landings. The straight stair landings and flights can be made as separate pieces or together. The latter option may have different levels of floors or half-landings, which will require a finishing screed. Elematic offers many different staircase moulds.

Application

Precast concrete stairs are a great choice for multi-storey buildings.

Precast Concrete Steps

Precast concrete steps can be made in our factory, unlike concrete steps that are poured on-site. They are lighter and less likely to settle. Our stairs have one-piece treads, risers, and landings. Precast concrete steps from Shea are made as one solid piece. This eliminates mortar joints and allows water to seep through, unlike stone or natural brick steps. Precast concrete steps can be easily adjusted and reset in the rare event of settling. Our precast stairs have a 1 1/2 inch overhang to protect the applied faces.
